- because I love programming & learning new things
- I was curious and "Because I can"
- It will add extra value to my home control system (Universal Devices ISY-994) that supervises and controls my home electrical devices
- I was disappointed that my ISY-994 was not included as an approved HAN device on my utilities new smart metering system ;(
- I have direct knowledge about the detailed data that is coming from my power meter
- I wanted to make something that would be useful to others
